A Grain of Sand

I was listening to my daughter’s MP3 player yesterday when I heard a song by Carrie Underwood. (She’s the fan, not me! Remember it was HER MP3 player). I don’t remember the name of the song, but there was a line in it that struck me: “Sometimes that mountain you’ve been climbing is just a grain of sand.” I think God is trying to say something to me about my last post on trust. I’m getting better at listening. God usually has to hit me over the head 6 or 7 times before I finally get what He is trying to tell me. This time I got it on the first try!

I’m stepping on a grain of sand with all my worries, not climbing a mountain. I’ve been thinking a lot lately about the miracle of the multiplication of the loaves and the fishes. If Christ can perform this miracle, then He can perform miracles in my own life. He can “multiply the loaves and fishes” of my own financial situation and with regard to getting the youth to come to youth group. God keeps telling me over and over again to trust Him. I’m not there yet, but I feel myself getting closer.
